All of these workshops have been designed to accommodate a vast range of ‘make’ abilities. Both Jess and Becky are highly skilled facilitators focused on making each participant feel comfortable and will support even the complete beginner to achieve within the workshop.
You do however, need to be able to thread a needle and demonstrate that you can use a pair of scissors safely. Some of the textile equipment can be hot and/or sharp so needs to be treated with respect and used appropriately.
The Pajaki Chandelier workshop does require some previous sewing skills.
When workshops are offered by our fantastic visiting artists/makers and crafters we will add additional detail in the workshop summary should there be specific skills already needed to participate in their workshop.
All of the workshops can be completed by 8 - 100 year olds.
Responsibility for Young Learners
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who participates in the workshop with them. We feel this is really important so families, and friends can learn and support each other during the workshop. These workshops can be vehicles for story telling, sharing ideas, and communicating on meaningful levels in the absence of technologies, tv and the excitement of everyday life. We aim to provide a fun, creative and professional space for people to get to know each other.
Eventbrite and Bookings
Unless you have organised an independent workshop via our email, all workshops will be listed and paid for via the Eventbrite website https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/
Cancellation of Workshops
Very occasionally a workshop may be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, or illness. Should this happen you will be offered a number of alternative dates, or issued a full refund. If you need to cancel your attendance at a workshop this needs to be done at least 48 hours before the workshop to receive a full refund. Failing to do this will result in you paying for the workshop in full.
